Who this applies to
This process is for Peekamoji users who want personal data associated with their account deleted or anonymized. If you want to close the entire account, you can also use our Delete Account process.
How to request deletion
Option A — in the app
- Open the Peekamoji app.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Select Delete Account if you want the whole account and associated data removed.
- Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.
Option B — by email
Email support@peekamoji.com with the subject Data Deletion Request.
What to include
Please provide enough information for us to locate and verify the relevant account:
- Peekamoji username, if available
- Email address or phone number connected to the account
- Login method used (for example Apple, Google, Facebook, email or phone/SMS)
- Whether you want the entire account deleted or only specific personal data
Do not send passwords.
Verification
To protect users against unauthorized deletion, we may ask you to confirm account ownership using the email address, phone number, login provider or another reasonable verification method associated with the account.
Processing time
We aim to complete verified deletion requests without undue delay and generally within 30 days. If applicable law provides a different deadline, that legal deadline applies. If additional verification is required, the response period may begin once we have sufficient information to verify the request.
What is deleted or anonymized
Subject to the exceptions below, deletion may include:
- profile and account settings;
- authentication identifiers associated with the account;
- posts and content created by the account;
- reactions, interaction history and other account-linked usage data where technically feasible;
- support or transactional information where no lawful retention reason remains.
Limited retention
We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with law, protect security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms or complete backup cycles. Retained information is restricted to the purpose for which retention is necessary and is deleted or overwritten when the retention reason expires.
