How this policy applies
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you use Peekamoji’s applications, websites, software and related services.
We do not rely on one blanket “consent” for all processing. Depending on the purpose, we rely on the legal bases described in Section 6. Where consent is legally required — for example for certain tracking or marketing activities — we ask for it separately and you can withdraw it.
Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Account and profile information: username, date of birth, email address or phone number, profile details, image and authentication identifiers where applicable.
- User content: posts, photos, videos, audio, live content, comments, captions, hashtags and related metadata you choose to provide.
- Messages: message content and metadata needed to deliver messaging features. If messages are reported, relevant message content or a report snapshot/context may be provided to our moderation systems or team for safety review.
- Contacts: if you choose to sync contacts, information needed to find people you may know, subject to the permission and settings shown to you.
- Purchases or transactions: transaction records and necessary billing, payout or delivery information where purchase, creator-support or commerce features are available.
- Support communications: information you send when contacting us or submitting feedback, reports or requests.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system, IP address, language, app version, crash/performance data and security identifiers.
- Usage data: content viewed, interactions, searches, session activity, feature usage, reactions and preferences.
- Location: approximate location inferred from IP or device context, and more precise location only where a feature requires it and the relevant device permission is granted.
- Content and safety signals: technical or content characteristics used to detect abuse, moderate content, prevent fraud and improve safety. We do not describe these signals as biometric identification unless a separate feature and notice expressly says so.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.
3.3 Information from other sources
- Login providers such as Apple, Google or Facebook when you choose to use them.
- Advertising or measurement partners where permitted and configured.
- Payment, merchant or delivery partners where relevant to a feature you use.
- Public or third-party information where lawful and relevant, including when another user tags or mentions you.

How we share information
Service providers
We use providers for cloud hosting, content delivery, analytics, customer support, moderation, communications, security, payments and other technical services. They receive information necessary to perform their services under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
Third parties and integrations
Information may be shared when you choose to use an external login, share content to another service, complete a transaction, or use an integrated feature.
Legal and corporate disclosures
We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal process, protect safety or rights, investigate abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring or sale of assets subject to applicable safeguards.
Legal bases for processing
Depending on the purpose and your location, our legal bases may include:
- Contract: processing needed to provide the Peekamoji service you request.
- Legitimate interests: for security, fraud prevention, service improvement, moderation and other interests balanced against your rights.
- Consent: where the law requires consent, including certain tracking, marketing or permission-based processing.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with applicable law.

Your rights & choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and request data portability.
You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. In Denmark, the relevant supervisory authority is Datatilsynet.
To exercise a right, contact support@peekamoji.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account in the app where available or follow the instructions on our Delete Data and Delete Account pages.
Data security & retention
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, secure infrastructure and encryption where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, security, legal obligations and dispute resolution. After account deletion, limited information may remain for a restricted period where necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance or backup cycles.
International data transfers
Peekamoji and its service providers may process information in countries outside your own. For transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we use recognized transfer mechanisms where required, such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful safeguards.
Younger users
Peekamoji is intended for users aged 13 and over. Additional parental-consent requirements may apply in some countries. If you believe a child below the applicable minimum age has created an account, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices or legal requirements change. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by other appropriate means. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
