How this policy applies

This Privacy Policy applies when you use Peekamoji’s applications, websites, software and related services, including social feeds, profiles, posts, Peeks, messaging, groups, live features, calls, discovery, recommendations, reactions, creator tools, wallet features, Marketplace features and other functionality we make available.

Some features may be introduced, tested, changed, limited or unavailable depending on country, device, account, app version or rollout stage. Where a feature has its own privacy notice, we will provide that notice where appropriate.

We do not rely on one blanket consent for all processing. Depending on the purpose, we use the legal bases described in Section 8. Where consent is required — for example for certain tracking, advertising or device permissions — we ask separately and you can withdraw that consent.

Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

• Account and profile information: username, date of birth, email address or phone number, profile image, biography, interests, language, account settings and authentication identifiers where applicable.
• User content: posts, photos, videos, Peeks, audio, live content, comments, captions, hashtags, reactions and related metadata you choose to provide.
• Messages and calls: information and metadata needed to deliver messaging, voice or video-call features. If content is reported, relevant content or contextual information may be provided to our moderation systems or team for safety review.
• Social connections: follows, followers, friends, groups, creator relationships, invitations and other connection information generated through the Platform.
• Contacts: if you choose to sync or upload contacts, information needed to help find people you may know or invite others, subject to the permissions and settings shown to you.
• Support, reports and appeals: information you provide when contacting us, submitting feedback, reporting content or users, appealing decisions or exercising legal rights.
• Marketplace and delivery information: where Marketplace features are available, information needed to support listings, purchases, delivery, disputes or related transactions.

3.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and technical data: device type, operating system, IP address, language, app version, browser or device identifiers, crash data, diagnostics, network information and security signals.
• Usage and engagement data: content viewed, watch time, searches, taps, reactions, comments, shares, saves, follows, session activity, feature use, notification interactions and other activity on the Platform.
• Recommendation and relationship signals: interests, mutual connections, interaction history, content and creator affinity, hashtags, region, language and similar signals used to organize or personalize content and people discovery.
• Location: approximate location inferred from IP address or device context. When you upload content, you may optionally allow Peekamoji to access your device's location and attach location information to that content. More precise location is accessed only where the relevant device permission is granted. You can decline location access and upload without adding your location. If you choose to attach location information to published content, it may be visible to other users depending on the content's privacy settings.
• Safety, integrity and moderation signals: technical, behavioural or content-related signals used to detect spam, abuse, fraud, account compromise, policy violations and other threats to users or the Platform.
• Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.

3.3 Information from other sources

• Login providers such as Apple, Google or Facebook when you choose to use them.
• Other users, for example when they follow, mention, tag, message, report or interact with you.
• Advertising, analytics or measurement partners where permitted by law and your settings.
• Payment, app-store, merchant, payout, banking, verification, fraud-prevention or delivery providers where relevant to a feature you use.
• Publicly available or third-party information where lawful and reasonably relevant to safety, fraud prevention, rights protection or a feature you choose to use.

Payments, Credits & creator data

If payment, Credits, Packages, tipping, creator-earnings, withdrawal or Marketplace features are available, we may process additional information needed to provide and secure those features.

• Purchase and transaction data: product or package purchased, transaction identifiers, amount, currency, date, status, refund or chargeback information and the applicable purchase channel.
• Wallet and balance data: records relating to Credits, virtual items, creator earnings, pending balances, available balances, withdrawals and adjustments.
• Payout information: information necessary to send creator payouts, such as payout account details or identifiers supplied directly to Peekamoji or to an authorized payout provider.
• Identity and verification data: where legally or operationally required for payouts, fraud prevention, age or eligibility checks, we or an authorized provider may request identity, address, tax, business or verification information.
• Tax and compliance information: information necessary to comply with accounting, tax, anti-fraud, reporting, payment or other legal obligations.

Peekamoji does not normally receive your complete payment-card details when payment is processed directly by Apple, Google or another external payment provider. Those providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.

Purchased Credits and user-side virtual items are operationally distinct from creator earnings and payout balances. Their applicable product rules are described in our Credits & Packages Terms and Creator Earnings & Payout Terms.

How we use information

We may process personal data to:

• create and operate accounts, profiles, feeds, posts, Peeks, messaging, groups, calls, live features, reactions and other Platform functionality;
• personalize content, recommendations, discovery, notifications and people or creator suggestions;
• calculate, display or support product features based on interactions or relationship signals, including features such as VibeScore, MoodGraph or Creator Score where available;
• process purchases, Credits, transactions, refunds, creator earnings, withdrawals, payouts and Marketplace activity;
• verify eligibility, identity or payout information where required;
• provide customer support and respond to privacy, legal, safety or account requests;
• detect spam, fraud, account compromise, manipulation, abuse, harmful content and violations of our rules;
• moderate content and accounts, investigate reports and operate complaint or appeal processes;
• diagnose crashes, measure reliability, maintain security and improve Platform performance;
• understand how features are used, test product changes and improve the Platform;
• send service messages, security alerts, transactional notifications and other communications requested or permitted by law;
• send marketing or promotional communications where permitted and subject to your choices;
• comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, law-enforcement and dispute-resolution obligations; and
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims and protect the rights, safety and integrity of Peekamoji, our users and others.

Personalization & automated systems

Peekamoji may use automated systems to rank or recommend content, suggest people or creators, calculate product indicators, detect spam or fraud, identify possible policy violations, support moderation and improve safety.

These systems may use signals such as your interests, connections, interactions, watch time, reactions, hashtags, language, region, device information, safety signals and activity on the Platform. Different signals may have different weight depending on the feature.

Automated systems may assist human decision-making. Where applicable law gives you rights relating to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, we will provide the information and safeguards required by that law.

Personalized recommendations and compatibility-style indicators are estimates generated from available signals. They are not objective assessments of a person’s character, value, suitability or identity.

How we share information

Other users and the public

Information you choose to publish may be visible to other users or the public depending on your settings and the feature. This may include profile information, posts, Peeks, reactions, comments, follower or following information, Marketplace listings and other activity intended to be social or public.

Service providers

We use service providers for cloud hosting, content delivery, analytics, communications, support, moderation, security, fraud prevention, payments, identity verification, payouts and other technical or operational services. They receive information necessary to perform their services and are subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.

App stores, payment and payout providers

Where you make a purchase, receive creator earnings, request a withdrawal or use another payment-related feature, relevant transaction, account or verification data may be exchanged with Apple, Google, payment processors, banks, payout providers, fraud-prevention services or other financial partners as necessary to process and secure the transaction.

Third-party services and integrations

Information may be shared when you choose to use an external login, share content to another service, follow an external link, complete a Marketplace transaction or use another integrated feature.

Legal, safety and corporate disclosures

We may disclose information where required by law, court order or valid legal process; to protect safety, rights, payments or Platform integrity; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to applicable safeguards.

Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, the legal basis depends on the purpose and context of the processing and may include:

• Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a service, feature, purchase, transaction or payout you request.
• Legitimate interests: for purposes such as service improvement, personalization, security, fraud prevention, moderation, enforcement and protecting users or the Platform, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
• Consent: where the law requires consent, including certain advertising, tracking, contact-sync, precise-location or device-permission uses.
• Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with accounting, tax, payment, regulatory, consumer, law-enforcement or other legal requirements.
• Vital interests: in limited situations where processing is necessary to protect someone’s life or physical safety.
• Public interest: where a specific law permits or requires processing for an applicable public-interest purpose.

If we rely on legitimate interests, you may have a right to object depending on the circumstances. If we rely on consent, withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

Your rights & choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to:

• access personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion of personal data;
• restrict certain processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• receive certain data in a portable format;
• request information or safeguards concerning certain automated decisions; and
• complain to a competent data-protection authority.

In Denmark, the supervisory authority is Datatilsynet. You may also be entitled to contact the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.

To exercise a right, contact support@peekamoji.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may retain a limited record of the request where legally necessary.

You can also manage relevant permissions and product preferences through your device or Peekamoji settings where those controls are available.

Data security & retention

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss and misuse. Measures may include access controls, authentication, logging, secure infrastructure, backups and encryption where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Different categories may have different retention periods.

Factors we consider include whether your account remains active, whether information is needed to deliver a feature, the sensitivity of the information, fraud or safety risks, legal limitation periods, contractual requirements and accounting, tax, payment or regulatory obligations.

After account deletion, some information may remain for a limited period in backups or restricted systems, and certain records may be retained longer where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment disputes, chargebacks, safety investigations, tax or accounting obligations, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

International data transfers

Peekamoji and service providers acting on our behalf may process information in countries outside the country where you live.

Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK or Switzerland to a country that is not recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism where required, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, contractual safeguards or another mechanism permitted by data-protection law.

Additional technical and organizational safeguards may be used where appropriate to the nature of the transfer and the risks involved.

Younger users

Peekamoji is intended for users aged 16 and over. A higher minimum age, parental consent or additional protections may apply in some countries or to particular features.

Some payment, Marketplace, creator-earnings, payout or other features may be restricted based on age, legal capacity, identity verification or local law.

If you believe a child below the applicable minimum age has created an account, contact us so we can review the account and take appropriate action.

Cookies, advertising & measurement

Our websites and services may use cookies, SDKs and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, preferences, analytics, measurement and, where enabled, advertising purposes.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential technologies, we request that consent before using them and provide a way to change your choice. More information is available in our Cookie Policy.

If advertising or measurement partners are used, information may be processed or shared as permitted by applicable law and the consent or privacy settings available to you. We do not treat acceptance of the Terms of Use as consent to optional tracking that legally requires separate consent.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app where available or use our Delete Account instructions. You can also use our Delete Data page for information about data-deletion requests.

Deleting an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every record. Limited information may remain where necessary for legal obligations, security, safety, fraud prevention, payment records, creator payouts, Marketplace disputes, refunds, chargebacks, backups or legal claims.

Before deleting an account, review any relevant Credits, Marketplace, creator-earnings or payout terms because deletion may affect access to those features or balances, subject to applicable law.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, providers or legal requirements change. Where appropriate or legally required, we will provide notice of material changes through the Platform, website, email or another suitable channel.

The Last Updated date at the top identifies the latest published version.
